I inherited this unidentified plant from my grandmother many years ago and have only witnessed its bloom twice. It froze a few years ago and almost died, but it has made a come back and is rewarding me this year with two blooms.

Its not the most attractive hanging plant, but its blooms make it worth keeping around.
Can anyone help me with its identity?
It almost looks like a Christmas cactus I have.
ReplyDeleteIt does sort of look like a droopy Christmas cactus. I've never seen anything like it. But then, I'm horrible with house plants.

ReplyDeleteI think it is a Christmas cactus. My mom had those when I was growing up! Pretty blooms. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's unanimous - - - it's a Christmas Cactus.
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Christmas Cactus since I don't have a clue :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely worth the wait just to see those two blooms...they are beautiful Paula! Wow!
Well, since it's sort of like a Christmas cactus, but is only now blooming, I'm going to christen it an Easter cactus. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYup, I vote for Christmas Cactus too Paula. I think you could cut it way back, it may be using all its energy with the size of the long arms rather than flowers.
