Mail Order Joy

Don't you just love to come home from work to find a package waiting for you? I certainly do! I had to return a few Christmas presents from Athleta and anxiously awaited the arrival of my new things. They came yesterday and all fit perfectly.

Mr. SP gave this coat and running top to me for Christmas. The coat is really neat because it has big magnets to hold it closed. You button the inside hidden buttons by hand and then the rest of the coat stays closed using the magnets. It is really neat. This coat caught my eye when I first saw it in a fall Athleta catalog. Mr. SP noticed that I had turned the page down for it and he ordered it for me for Christmas. He ordered a small which ended up being a wee bit tight in the shoulders. The medium is roomy enough to wear a heavy sweater underneath.

I also had turned the page down in the Athleta catalog for this shirt. I wanted one with a white background and that's what I received for Christmas, but it was too snug. I ended up with a medium in black because the white was sold out in medium. I wore this running on Thursday and am in love with the fabric. It feels like silk next to your skin. I like that it has a neck zipper to unzip when I get a little bit hot on a run.

By September of last year the two swim suits that I like to wear were looking pretty ratty. I like Victoria's Secret swim suits because they give my small chest a boost. The two that I have had gotten so stretched out that I had to tie knots in the neck strap and in the back strap to tighten them up enough to stay put. I noticed with both suits that if I leaned a certain way I was showing off a little too much chest. The bottoms were way too loose and fell down when I jumped into the pool. Those things have got to go! Athleta has their suits on sale and I took a risk and ordered two. I like them both very much even though they don't have underwire like VS or big pads strategically placed to create cleavage.

I certainly didn't need to click on the Talbot's 65% off email that I received, but I'm glad that I did. The Talbot's in my town is very small and sells out of my size in a hurry. I went there after Christmas and did not find one thing to buy. I'm glad that clicked on the email and found these things.

I should have bought this shirt in another color. This makes the fourth green shirt that I've recently bought. Oh well. I like green!

I bought the layered shirt that you see in the middle of the picture. The model in the catalog wears a slim green belt with it. I may try to find one.

I will forget about this skirt and be pleasantly surprised when I find it with my spring/summer clothes when I pull them out in a few months.

I noticed when I searched for pictures to use in this post that the Talbot's things are no longer 65% off. I'm definitely glad that I caught their sale.

Now I have no package to look forward to receiving. Sounds like an excuse for more shopping this weekend!

  2. I love my Athleta bathing suit. Wore it nearly every day last year and it held up so well and cut to flatter but not show too much.

I just got the catalog today...I LOVE their things! Enjoy all of your new finds.
