Repurposing a Soap Dispenser

I love Bath and Body products and usually get a lot as gifts at Christmas time.  I've been saving the empty bottles because I thought I might be able to use them at school.  The other day I decided to embellish a few and reuse them.

I made this one as a gift for my mom.  She loved it!  I refilled it with Walmart soap that comes in a giant bottle.

This is such a simple project!  Here's the how-to:

Start with a clean, empty liquid soap bottle.
Scrape off the label with a razor blade.  Be careful!

Use Goo Gone to scrape off the remnants of the label.

Select rub-on letters of your initials and cut out.

Apply rub-on letters to the bottle and then fill with soap, lotion, or hand sanitizer.
Tie a pretty ribbon around the top and you are done.  Won't this look cute on my desk at school?

This project is something quick and easy that one could make for a hostess gift or even a Christmas present.  I'll smile every time I use this at school!

  2. Love it! We use the same Bath & Body Works soap at home - we have lots of those bottles somewhere I think! Great plan, and a great gift for teachers.

  5. Very nice Paula. Isn't that Goof Gone/ Goof Off amazing. I've been painting this summer and it's amazing how easy that is to wipe up dripped paint. Even after it has dried.

  10. School starts in a few weeks so I think I will have to make a few of these for Lexi's new teacher. I think she would love these also! I will be sure to let you know when I make them so I can give credit.
