Fall Clematis

It must truly be autumn because my fall blooming Clematis is coming into its autumn glory.

The previous pictures were taken on Saturday.  A few days and different lighting show a big difference in the next picture.  This picture was taken Monday evening when it was cloudy and misty.

I noticed fall Clematis blooming around town several weeks ago.  I don’t know why mine blooms weeks later.  Perhaps it is due to the super hot and dry location in which it is planted.

Fall Clematis looks great planted along this fence.

The home owners here trained it to grow around their entrance pillars.

Enjoy your Thursday.  We are headed to the OBX for the weekend!  I am so ready to get out of town!

  6. I don't think my clematis likes to grow in the heat...maybe it is fall clematis, too. Yours is SO pretty!

  8. I've never seen such a beautiful clematis before. Much prettier and larger than what we have here.

  9. Love Clematis and wish I could grow it... Is it our North Jersey winters?
I don't think so as I see folks with beautiful purple clematis climbing on their porch or mailbox... I need help! Any tips?
