Braided Ribbon Headband

I’ve been itching to try this neat braiding technique that Skip to My Lou posted about back in August.  I bought some ribbon, followed her directions, and made this cute headband.

I first made the braid and then hot glued it to a plastic headband.

The braid is a bit tedious, but once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty quickly.  I braided this one on the way to the lake one Sunday afternoon.

If you have an older child who is crafty, they might like to try this.  The braid would also be a pretty embellishment for fabric.  My next one will be a green version to wear for football Thursdays at school.

Have a great Thursday!

  5. Love that brown. I'd need to use a different color b/c my hair is so dark, but I love the look. :) Thanks for sharing the link too!
