More decorations?? Just a few….. I’ve also shared my living room and kitchen this holiday season if you missed these posts.
We never ever use our dining room now that we have a bright and sunny eat in kitchen. This view is from the living room. The paint color in the picture is a lot brighter than it appears in real life. The chairs were my great grandmother’s and are the main reason we don’t entertain in this space. I love how they look, but they are not especially comfortable. I am lucky to have inherited them and I still treasure them, even if I don’t like to sit in them.
I created a centerpiece using “Christmas tree” cones from last year’s mantel.
{Last year’s mantel}
I glittered pinecones green to add contrast to the red trees, faux snow, and silver balls.
My buffet never seemed quite right, but at this point, I doubt that I’ll make any changes.
Come on into the family room.
I bought these cute vintage looking candles at the Vermont Country Store last Christmas. Of course I’d forgotten all about them, so they were a surprise when I found them in a storage container. I bought the clock with one of my first teacher paychecks!
The egg box was used to ship eggs from one relative in Roanoke to her sister in DC. Granny passed it on to me.
Silver, brown, and red look good together.
I’ve had this piece for years and years.
Isn’t it fun to decorate for Christmas? I get so much pleasure out of my decorations. It’s snowing here today, there’s no school, and I intend to enjoy a full day in the house being domestic. Have a great Thursday!
What is that beautiful color in yoru dining room?
