A Cloche for Summer

I’m joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for her Summer Cloche Party.  I haven’t had my cloche on display since Easter and I’ve missed it.  I enjoy creating interesting displays for the changing seasons.  This vignette is on a small buffet in our dining room, a room we pass through each time we enter the house.

Summer Cloche5

In this small woodland vignette a large mushroom is surrounded by moss covered rocks and visiting the area are a rabbit and turtle.

A vintage mushroom bowl completes the vignette.

My grandmother had a small collection of these animals and my aunt made sure that I inherited them.  If anyone knows anything about them, I’d love to learn more.

Be sure to visit Marty’s Summer Cloche Party at A Stroll Thru Life to see more cloche displays for summer.

  3. Very sweet :)
I'm pretty sure those are Wade figurines, they came free in boxes of red rose tea (I think they still do this). I have a bunch of these figurines, they are so sweet.

  4. The schroom under glass is brilliant. Adding the wee animals to the mix makes it interesting. I have always liked miniature.

  10. Love your style, so fresh and clean. I have a soft spot for moss. I remember little figurines similar to that that you got in your box of tea. Not sure if they are the same. :) Mom had several. I am new follower! Looking forward to it.
