New Cushion for the Porch

Last weekend I made two pillows for my porch.  One thing always leads to another with me.  It really bothered me that the stool cushion didn’t coordinate, so I got busy sewing a new cover for it.

So much better!  Would you believe that now I want to sew new covers for the chairs?  I’ll have to go back to school on Monday after a two week snow break, so these chairs are probably safe for now.

For the stool cushion, I had everything I needed on hand except for the buttons.  The main fabric is from my kitchen curtains, the button fabric from my dining room curtains, and the piping is from my family room curtains.  I had to buy eight buttons which cost less than a dollar each.  I love an inexpensive project!IMG_3015

I’m sharing my project at Donna’s Saturday Night Special at Funky Junk Interiors and at Jen’s Weekend Wrap Up Party at Tatertots and Jello.

  4. The fabric is beautiful, Paula. And nice that you had it already! When you have your summer break, those chair cushions better look out!

    Happy Valentine's Day, Paula!

  11. Amazing as always. I'm thinking you should paint the chairs and the stool white to match the wicker table.
