My niece, Mama, and I love to craft. Yesterday we made necklaces out of washers and scrapbook paper. These were really easy to make. We used an exacto knife to cut the paper to fit the washer. We put a different paper on each side of the washer so that our necklaces are reversible. A quick coat of Mod Podge glues the paper in place. After a short drying time we flipped the washer to the other side and Mod Podged that paper into place. We even made a necklace for my cousin, Susan.
Here we are modeling our necklaces before a trip to Dairy Queen.
I'm not sure which pattern I like best!
This picture makes me laugh. Reese wrote her name on the horse's rear last summer. She's checking to see if it is still there. (It is.)
Funny Girl!
Keeping up with a ten year old is exhausting work. We've putt-putted, played on the beach, cooked, and gone down to the beach after dark to catch crabs.
Do you remember being ten years old?
You're never to old to love the beach!
It sounds like you are having the best time. I love the beach and I loved it even more when I was ten!! The necklaces are SO cute and a really neat idea.

Was I ever 10 years old? Hmmm, let me see..
ReplyDeleteI loved going down to Manteo. There used to be a fabulous Christmas shop there that I understand is not in business anymore. Be on the lookout for Andy Griffith!
JEALOUS!!!
