Something Cute for My Desk

I try to wash my hands frequently at school or at least wipe them off with a baby wipe.  Can you imagine the amount of yuckiness I get on my hands after being in a classroom that hosts 120 kids per day?

Preppy 101 of All Things Southern and Preppy kindly made a printable monogram for me to use to embellish my notebooks and other things in my classroom.  I decided that if I had to have a baby wipe container on my desk, it may as well be preppy ad cute.

What do you think?

This was so easy!  I carefully took the label off the baby wipe container and used it as a pattern for cutting out my scrapbook paper.  I then used Mod Podge to adhere the scrapbook paper to the container.  After it dried I glued on my monogram with Mod Podge.  The top was red and clashed so I spray painted it pink.  My students will either think their teacher is crazy or they'll love this.  I actually can't wait to show it to a few crafty girls that I taught last year.  They loved hearing about my crafts! 

I have five more days of peace before I go back to school and I plan to enjoy every minute of each day.  Once I go back, there will be very little free time to be had.

    I love it, Paula! I think the kids who are classy will think it's great. Why not have something stylish in your room? You have to look at it all day. :)

    Oh this is totally cute! I have to get some for Lexi for her class supplies so looks like I will have to copy you on this also....but will give credit of course. I am sure your crafty girls will love this.

    I think it's fabulous Paula. I also think it's fun that some of your students are interested in your craft projects. I will miss your frequent blog posts when you have to return to school. It must be harder to fit it in, but I know you still do a good job keeping us updated on you and Mr. SP. :)

    You have put together some very cute things of late for your classroom. If I were still in the game, I would steal some of your ideas to give my teammates a survival kit for the semester!
