I couldn't pass up this bread box or these Santa boots.
I like to use tins like this in my pantry for organization. This one (rust and all) will most likely be used to organize cookie and cake decorating supplies. Currently my supplies are in a smaller tin and two large lidded glass jars. It would be nice to have them in one tin to take out of the pantry all together when it is decorating time.
I really like the design on this tin. I did clean it up, it's too bad that someone had it in an area that made it rust.
I've been collecting Santa boots for a good number of years. I love displaying these at Christmas. I don't think that these are particularly old, but I still like them very much.
The prices for these goodies weren't too bad. The bread box was $12.00, the large boot was $6.00, and the small one was $3.00. I'll certainly get $21.00 of enjoyment out of these things.
Two good ideas-one storage and one decorating. How do you display the boots?
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of using the bread box for cake decorating supplies! Great way to use something old for some new stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'm so glad you got away for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou should do a post about your pantry and show us all the fun containers you use. :)
Good stuff! Carla
ReplyDeletePaula, I remember those Santa boots from when I lived at home. I think my mama must have had a collection of them.
ReplyDeletePaula, when I was just packing up to move here, I gave a little red ceramic boot very similar to the smaller one you show here to the mission to be sold in their store.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing - - - my name was printed boldly across the white fur. Wonder who will want to buy a "Keetha" Santa boot!!!!
Great finds. We will definitely need a photo of the boot display!
ReplyDeleteCool bread box! Love it! Good idea to use it for storage. The rust adds character.
ReplyDeleteThe santa boots are cute too!
You know I love the rusty box. Santa shoes are a great find too.
